Author Registration
At least one author of each accepted paper must register. The author registration deadline corresponds to the early bird registration period. If registration is not received within the aforementioned deadline, the paper will not appear in the proceedings. No-shows will also prompt removing paper(s) from the proceedings.
Obtain an invitation letter
For SPLC participants who wants an invitation letter should fill in this template and send it to Gul Calikli at gul.calikli@gu.se with the email subject being ‘SPLC2018 Visa Invitation Letter”. Gul will sign off and send you back a scanned copy of the invitation as soon as possible.

Registration Periods
- Early bird registration: 5th July – 6th August
- Regular registration deadline: 7th August – 6th September
- Late/On-site Registration: 7th September-14th September
Registration Types
SPLC 2018 is a combination of different events:
- Workshops, industrial forum and tutorial days on Monday, September 10 and Tuesday, September 11
- The main conference (including the doctoral symposium) running from Wednesday, September 12 to Friday, September 14
Please note that you will have to choose one of the following options:
Option 1 & 2: Workshop/Industrial Forum/Tutorial 1 Day Pass
This option allows to register for one of the workshop, industrial forum and tutorial days (Option1: Monday or Option 2: Tuesday). Please wait with your registration until the event you plan to attend is confirmed on the SPLC 2018 website, as no refunds can be made without cancellation fees. At the current stage workshops can still be cancelled or merged with other workshops.
Option 3: Workshop/Industrial Forum/Tutorial 2 Day Pass
This option allows to register for both of the workshop, industrial forum and tutorial days (Monday and Tuesday). Please wait with your registration until the event you plan to attend is confirmed on the SPLC 2018 website, as no refunds can be made without cancellation fees. At the current stage workshops can still be cancelled or merged with other workshops.
Option 4: Main Conference (includes Doctoral Symposium) (Wednesday to Friday)
This option allows to register for the main conference and also includes the Doctoral Symposium.
Option 5: All included: Main Conference + 2 Workshops/Doctoral Symposium/Industrial Forum/Tutorial days
This option allows to register for the main conference including the doctoral symposium and all the events in the 2 previous days.

Students will have the following discounts. Please note that for each accepted research and industry track paper, it is mandatory that at least one (co-)author has FULL REGISTRATION (i.e., registration without student discounts)

Online Registration
VAT on fees
Please note, accordance with Swedish Value Added Tax (VAT) requirements, any company or organization from EU with a registered VAT number or equivalent tax registration number is NOT required to pay Swedish VAT for registration fee attending a conference in Sweden.
Any company or organisation outside EU with a registered tax registration number, or with a valid company name is NOT required to pay Swedish VAT for registration fee attending the conference in Sweden.
Delegates from Sweden and private persons are required to pay VAT on registration fee (25%), social events (25%) and hotel (12%).
The fees are stated in SEK and excluding Swedish VAT.
Important information
Please observe that the stated VAT number needs to be correct when registering for the conference.
If the wrong VAT number is stated in the registration form a changing fee of SEK 250 will be charged and you will also be charged the VAT amount (25%). This mistake could also incur a penalty from the Swedish tax office for false information.
