The Systems and Software Product Line Conference (SPLC) is a premier forum where researchers, practitioners, and educators can present and discuss the most recent ideas, trends, experiences, and challenges in the area of software and system product line engineering.
The 22nd International Systems and Software Product Line Conference will be held during September 10th to 14th, 2018, in Gothenburg, Sweden. It will include a highly selective program of research papers and industry papers, accompanied by keynote speeches, workshops, demonstrations, tutorials, panels, and doctoral symposium. Besides, SPLC 2018 advocates the discussion of challenges in the area of software and system product line engineering by adding a challenge track and encourage research discussion by a journal first track. We warmly welcome high quality papers, which describe original and unpublished research advancing the state of the art in software and system product line. We hope that SPLC 2018 can successfully bring an opportunity to hear and learn from both leaders’ real-world experiences and researchers’ latest ideas.
For information on previous editions of SPLC, please refer to its homepage www.splc.net.
Conference Tracks:
Research Papers
High quality research work that uses established scientific methodologies, written using high standards of academic technical publications. (see CFPs)
Industrial Systems and Software Product Lines Track
Challenges, innovations and solutions to concrete industrial applications of software and product line engineering tools and methodologies. These papers should have a significant software component to the research. (see CFPs)
Challenge Track
The challenge track aims to encourage participation from experienced community members and SPLC new comers by providing a concrete set of case studies and problems that showcase SPL-related challenges. The challenge track will follow a two-phased process. There will first be a call for cases where SPL researchers are encouraged to contribute a concrete case study. After the accepted case studies are published, there will be a call for solutions for these case studies. Both accepted case descriptions and solutions will be included in the conference proceedings. (see CFPs)
Journal First Track
SPLC 2018 will begin to incorporate journal-first papers into the SPLC program. Through this initiative, authors of journal-first papers can submit their journal publications to present their work at SPLC, allowing the authors to speak directly to the community and offering the SPLC attendees a richer set of presentations. More concrete journal requirements will be published soon. (see CFPs)
Workshop Proposals
We invite you to submit proposals for one or two day workshops in the field of software product lines. In particular workshops on challenging, emerging areas related to the conference topics are sought. (see CFPs)
Data, Demonstrations and Tools Track
This track provides an opportunity for live demonstrations of product-line tools, of substantial datasets to be shared with the community, and of practices tackling current industrial challenges. (see CFPs)
Doctoral Symposium
Doctoral proposals, both early- and mid-phase, to be reviewed and commented on by a panel of experts. (see CFPs)
Tutorials
Tutorials provide a valuable opportunity for conference participants to expand their product line knowledge and skills. Tutorials may focus on introductory product line topics, such as how to introduce a product line approach into an organization, or on advanced tools, approaches, methods, and best practices. (see CFPs)
Panels
SPLC provides multiple opportunities for exchanging and discussing ideas and visions for software product line engineering. The panels at SPLC 2018 is one such forum. We call for your proposals for panels on software product line related topics. If you have an idea for SPLC 2018, please let us know. (see CFPs)
